Three-time Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum band Maroon 5 debut the official music video for their new single “Wait” (222 Records/Interscope) today. Directed by David Meyers (Kendrick Lamar, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake) and starring actress Alexandra Daddario (The Layover, Baywatch, American Horror Story), the track is the second single off of Maroon 5’s new hit studio album, Red Pill Blues.
“Wait” has quickly climbed up the Top 40 radio chart, and has already clocked over 79 million streams on Spotify and over 10 million on YouTube, since its release last month.
“Wait” follows on the heels of Maroon 5’s smash single “What Lovers Do” featuring Top Dawg Entertainment artist SZA, which made for a collaboration that uniquely merged the band’s signature style with SZA’s seductive delivery. The track accumulated over 413 million Spotify streams and 169 million YouTube/VEVO views.
In conjunction with the new album, Maroon 5 also recently announced their Red Pill Blues world tour produced by Live Nation. The first leg of dates are set to kick off on May 30th at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA and will feature special guest Julia Michaels. Tickets are on sale now.
