Dunkirk Official Trailer

From filmmaker Christopher Nolan (“Interstellar,” “Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy) comes the epic action thriller DUNKIRK, starring great actors including Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy. British pop star Harry Styles will also make his big screen debut – and while the film isn’t out until next year, his rabid fan-base of teenage girls are already calling for the Academy to give him an Oscar!

The story is based on the real events of the “Dunkirk evacuation”, code-named Operation Dynamo, also known as the Miracle of Dunkirk, was the evacuation of Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France, between 26 May and 4 June 1940, during World War II. The operation was decided upon when large numbers of Belgian, British, and French troops were cut off and surrounded by the German army during the Battle of France. In a speech to the House of Commons, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill called the events in France “a colossal military disaster”, saying “the whole root and core and brain of the British Army” had been stranded at Dunkirk and seemed about to perish or be captured. (Quote from Churchill, Winston (2003). “Wars are not won by evacuations, 4 June 1940, House of Commons”. In Churchill, Winston S. Never Give In!: The Best of Winston Churchill’s Speeches. New York: Hyperion.)

Telling from the thrilling trailer Dunkirk is going to be a powerful film. Released Summer 2017.
