It’s the music video for the four-way collaboration “Welcome to the Party,” a track featured on the Deadpool 2 soundtrack. The foul-mouthed anti-hero hit theaters nationwide Friday, May 18, and reviews are good. The movie also knocked Avengers: Infinity War off the top spot with an estimated $125 million on opening weekend. That’s reason enough to celebrate.
The “Welcome to the Party” video features performance shots of the producer and his mic-wielding friends as they rock out at the house and set things on fire. It’s spliced between clips from the movie.
The soundtrack single comes hot on the heels of another Diplo creation. LSD sees the Major Lazer co-founder groove psychedelic on “Genius” alongside Sia and Labrynth. “Welcome to the Party” has way more of a hip-hop vibe, of course. We like Lil Pump’s verse the most.
