Star Wars Resistance Season 1 – Mid-Season Trailer

Star Wars Resistance will live to fight another day. Disney Channel has ordered up a sophomore season of the animated Lucasfilm saga with a Fall 2019 premiere episode.

The first season of Star Wars Resistance resumes on Jan. 13 on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW with the ongoing adventures of Kazuda (“Kaz”) Xiono, the young pilot recruited by the Resistance for a top-secret spying mission to scout out the expanding threat presented by the First Order.

It was a busy morning for Resistance forces. The Star Wars YouTube page also released a new Star Wars Resistance mid-season trailer, which can be found below. The preview includes the first look at a major villain imported from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the 2015 theatrical juggernaut that piled up more than $2 billion in worldwide box office, the third highest total in Hollywood history.

Star Wars Resistance premiered in Oct. 2018 as the anime-informed animated saga of the underdog forces in a interplanetary struggle that happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

The show’s voice ensemble includes Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives) as “Kaz” Xiono; Suzie McGrath (East Enders) as Tam Ryvora; Scott Lawrence (Legion) as Jarek Yeager; Myrna Velasco (Elena of Avalor) as Torra Doza; Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Neeku Vozo; Donald Faison (Scrubs) as Hype Fazon; Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) as Poe Dameron; Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) as Captain Phasma; and Jim Rash (Community) and Bobby Moynihan (DuckTales) as Flix and Orka, respectively.

Lucasfilm Animation stalwart Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) created the series; Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Justin Ridge (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Brandon Auman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) serve as executive producers; and Amy Beth Christenson (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) is art director.
