The Salaam Remi produced “Come Through and Chill” has been a staple in boudoir playlists for some time. The original stencil without cameo created a mood so sensual, it had listener reaching for their T Mobile prepaid plans at the wrong hours of the day. Miguel’s final touch does not alter the mood, if anything J. Cole shows a softer side in his accompanying verse. Radical sensuality is the next religious discourse, with these two gents leading the action.
The video places Miguel at an audition for his leading role. J. Cole leans up against a bean pole calling out to Macedonia and the nether regions of his fan base. Miguel, for his part is a little more concerned with his retro fit cool, and his stoic manner, in the event he locks eyes with the next great hype. Dancers waddle next to a wall-length mirror as Miguel predominantly fixes his gaze. The video closes with Miguel selections making it past the cutting room floor into his bedroom once and for all.
