Lin-Manuel Miranda – Almost Like Praying feat Artists for Puerto Rico

Hamilton writer Lin-Manuel Miranda leads a star-studded lineup—including Jennifer Lopez, Fat Joe, Camila Cabello, John Leguizamo, Rubén Blades, Marc Anthony, and Gloria Estefan—in an inspirational, upbeat anthem to support hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico. All proceeds from each sale of the single featured on this page will be donated to the Hispanic Federation.

Manhattan native Lin-Manuel Miranda is a Tony- and Grammy Award-winning theater arts polymath best known for writing, composing, and starring in Broadway hits such as In the Heights and Hamilton: An American Musical. Interested and active in the arts from a young age, he wrote, directed, and acted in the independent film Clayton’s Friends (1996) while only in his mid-teens. Of Puerto Rican descent himself, he began working on the stage musical Into the Heights, about the mostly Puerto Rican/Cuban/Dominican-American Manhattan neighborhood of Washington Heights when he was a student at Wesleyan University.
