Imagine Dragons – Believer

It takes a lot of confidence to engage in fisticuffs against an action star like Dolph Lundgren, but it seems Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds is up to the challenge and a true “Believer” — just like title of the band’s latest single.

In a new video released Tuesday (March 7), Reynolds and Lundgren face off in a bloody futuristic boxing match, putting new meaning to the song’s lyrics praising the virtues of pain (“You made me a believer”). The piece was directed by Matt Eastin, who has previously teamed with the band for their “On Top of the World,” “Roots” and “Shots (Broiler Remix)” visuals.

“‘Believer’ is about finding a place of peace and self-confidence,” said Reynolds in a statement. “The video depicts a man facing his inner self, the toughest critic of all, while paying homage to some of the classic movies we grew up with.”
