Kevin Spacey returns as President Frank Underwood battling for his political life in a contentious election while also struggling to maintain his marriage with his wife, Claire (Robin Wright). In the trailer, Underwood laments that American citizens are in need of constant supervision and he plans to rule over them for the foreseeable future, term limits or no. “One nation, Underwood,” he says in a corruption of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The fifth season also stars Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Neve Campbell, Derek Cecil, Paul Sparks and Joel Kinnaman.
