Sam Smith performing “Pray” live at Saturday Night Live. The track is taken from his forthcoming album ‘The Thrill Of It All’ released November 3rd. Introduced by host Gal Gadot, the British soul singer delivered album lead single “Too Good at Goodbyes,” a secular gospel pop lament, backed by a coterie of gospel singers, as well as “Pray.” In our current issue, Smith explained to Billboard that “Pray” was inspired by time he spent in Iraq with the charity War Child.
