So it turns out that some of the most popular viral videos are indeed fake! If you had any doubts about this snowboarder being chased by a bear, then you were right! It’s fake.
How do we know? The Guardian explains that over two years, eight videos from Melbourne’s the Woolshed Company were made with funding (partly thanks to taxpayers). The Australian producers who were behind the fake viral videos which made news around the world were part of a Screen Australia-funded project to explore the impact of a short film narrative.
So, now you know, do they look more fake?
