P!nk – Beautiful Trauma

Channing Tatum is looking pretty in P!nk’s new music video, ‘Beautiful Trauma’.
In the music video, the title track for her most recent album, Pink performs the role of a pill-popping, pastel-coloured 50s housewife to Tatum’s booze-devoted husband.
Navigating gender roles in suburban contexts, from S&M leather to sipping martinis, Pink and Tatum twirl to the beat in this candyfloss universe.

A homage to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, the couple break the banal routine of white-picket-fence living with playful choreography sets.
More La La Land than Magic Mike, Tatum continues his penchant for dancing in drag with pop divas.
His performance as Beyoncé on Lip Sync Battle in 2015 was brilliant, though possibly not as perky and powdered as he is in Beautiful Trauma.
Tatum still looks flawless in a dress, though.

And unlike every other singer who’s appeared on the segment, she belted out her hits upside-down.
P!nk also revealed that when she was seven or eight years old, she found out Jon Bon Jovi was married – and it crushed her.
“I almost threw up in my mouth. I ripped his posters off the wall, threw them out, and didn’t come out of my room for days,” she said.

“I was devastated. It was the first time someone ever broke my heart.”
Earlier this year at the MTV VMAs, the star made an impassioned defence of people who, like her daughter, dress in gender non-conforming ways.
And last month, she addressed her sexuality, calling on people to “leave it alone.

“I just wanna live my life. I don’t need you to put me in a box or to figure me out or to figure out what I am.
“Cos I don’t know yet. And I never say never.”
The singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, has spoken frequently about how fans mistakenly believe she is a lesbian, despite having children with husband Carey Hart.
