That they belong.” First lady Michelle Obama gave her final remarks as first lady on 6th January at an event recognizing the 2017 School Counselor of the Year. Her words about education and hope to young people were powerful and inspiring – “Empower yourselves with a good education.”
School Counselor of the Year is an annual White House tradition started in 2015 by Obama as part of her Reach Higher initiative, according to the first lady’s office.
