Grab your lighters and put them in the sky. You’re about to have an intimate moment with thousands of people on dance floors world wide.
Martin Garrix’ long-awaited collaboration with David Guetta is finally here, and it’s actually a beautiful, future-pop ballad. It sounded huge when the powerful pair debuted the tune at Tomorrowland earlier this year. It’s also missing vocals from Ellie Goulding, who was originally meant to sing on the track until her management pulled her from it following that Tomorrowland preview.
Instead, fans get to hear Romy Dya, the woman who originally recorded the vocals for the demo version. Her performance is vulnerable and powerful, so there’s nothing to be too sad about. She’s joined by Jamie Scott on male lead.
