The upcoming crime thriller Tuner is generating significant buzz with the announcement of its cast and crew. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Daniel Roher (Navalny), the film features Leo Woodall and legendary actor Dustin Hoffman in leading roles. The script, co-written by Roher and Robert Ramsey, centers on a piano tuner whose extraordinary skills extend beyond his craft, enabling him to crack safes—a twist that turns his life into a high-stakes adventure.
Woodall, known for his breakout role in HBO’s The White Lotus and more recently starring in One Day, continues to ascend in Hollywood with this new project. Hoffman, a two-time Academy Award winner, adds to his illustrious career with Tuner, fresh off his recent work in Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis.
The film is set to begin production in Toronto this October, with JoAnne Sellar and Lila Yacoub producing. Black Bear is handling international sales at TIFF, while UTA Independent Film Group manages U.S. rights. Elevation Pictures, co-producing the film, will also handle its Canadian release.
