The music video for Kygo’s recent track “Stargazing” with Justin Jesso is here, and we’ve got only one warning: Have the tissues ready.
In the moving visual, a young boy sets out to build a rocket ship in his backyard after finding a note from his recently deceased father asking to “find me in the stars.” The track’s celestial lyrics become literal as we watch the young protagonist map out his trip to outer space and head to a grassy field to test it out.
Yep, things get emotional. But don’t worry — ultimately, the video is just as uplifting as the track itself, which dropped as part of a five-track surprise EP of the same title last week.
Lyrics
Verse
You’re saying it’s hopeless
That I should hope less
Heaven can help us
Well maybe she might
You say it’s beyond us
What is beyond us
Let’s see and decideWe’ve been meteoric
Even before this
It’s burns half as long when it’s
Twice as brightSo if it’s beyond us
Then it’s beyond us
Let’s see and decideHook 1
And I will still be here
stargazing
I still look up look up look up for love
I will still be here
stargazing
I still look up look up look up for loveV2
I’m trying to save us
You don’t wanna save usYou blame human nature and
Say it’s unkind,
Let’s make up our own mindsWe’ve got our whole lives
Let’s see and decide
DecideHook 2 (different from Hook 1)
And I will still be here
stargazing
I still look up look up look up for love
stars don’t disappear
The keep blazing
Even When the night is over
That’s how I find the lightThat’s how I find the light
