Ed Sheeran’s new single Castle on the Hill has sparked a plea from police who have warned the singer to drive safely. The track is a “love song” about Suffolk and features the line “driving at 90 down those country lanes”.
Sgt Chris Harris, from Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing, took aim at the worrisome lyric and called on Sheeran to “please slow down”. He tweeted: “#DriveToArrive Ed Sheeran. Know you want to get home but please slow down on #SuffolkRoads. #WelcomeBackEd #DrivingAt90 #CastleOnTheHill.” (Source: Evening Standard)
