Prepare to be on the edge of your seat! Desierto is about a group of people trying to cross the border from Mexico into the United States but encounter a man who has taken border patrol duties into his own racist hands.
Desierto is Mexican thriller co-written and directed by Jonás Cuarón, and produced by Cuarón together with his father Alfonso and his uncle Carlos. It was shown in the Special Presentations section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival where it won the Prize of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) for Special Presentations. And, it was selected as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards. Showing in October 2016.
