With the trailer for Netflix’s ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ adaptation you can get a good look at what to expect from the series when it debuts on the streaming service next year.
Based on the popular children’s book series, A Series of Unfortunate Events tells the story of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire, three orphans who, after the mysterious death of their parents, are put in the care of their distant relative Count Olaf. The books focus on the Baudelaire’s journey as they try to escape Olaf and his acting troupe, while also trying to unravel the secrets of the enigmatic VFD organization.
The initial series is set to focus on the first four books in the series, with future seasons set to tackle the remaining books — there are 13 in all — if Netflix decides to renew. The first eight-episode season is fittingly scheduled to premiere on Netflix on Friday the 13th in January 2017.
